2021 Vivaldi Competition Videos

In 2021, the Meg Quigley Vivaldi Competition pivoted to an entirely virtual format, with pre-recorded multimedia presentations taking the place of live performances at the 2021 Meg Quigley Virtual Bassoon Symposium. In addition to artistic bassoon playing, finalists were encouraged to pursue other creative mediums to present the music in ways that would appeal to a wide general audience by incorporating elements from other art forms such as poetry, photography, drama, dance, visual art, videography, and more. Meg Quigley provided the ten finalists with workshops on effective audience engagement, creating an artistic concept for the videos, and video and audio recording and editing. Fox Products Corporation generously provided recording equipment to each finalist for making the final videos.
